The Family Coalition Colorado is a newly formed, policy-driven partnership representing Colorado’s Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) and disabilities. We connect families with trustworthy information, peer support, and tools to navigate complex systems — from health care and education to community life and public benefits.

Our partners are rooted in lived experience. They are parents, caregivers, youth, and community members who have walked this path and now walk alongside others — offering navigation support, special education guidance, community-responsive support services, and strong peer networks across Colorado.

Families of children with disabilities encounter barriers due to policy decisions, such as underfunded schools and complicated health systems. The Family Coalition Colorado amplifies their stories to influence decision-makers, aiming to enhance laws and funding for every child — regardless of location, income, language, or disability — to access quality education, healthcare, and community support.
